Relieve the risk of stroke with dates

Who does not know the date palm fruit, fruit that tastes sweet is it can alleviate the risk of stroke. Dates contain more potassium: Potassium is a nutrient essential for the body, especially for the functioning of the heart and blood vessels. These minerals can make the heart beat more regularly, activates muscle contraction and helps regulate blood pressure.  

From a study of diet in 859 men and women aged over 50 years in Northern California, USA, known 12 years later if no one has a high potassium intake of more than 3,500 mg per day, died of a stroke.

However, people who regularly ate the most low potassium, which is less than 1950 mg per day, risk of stroke is much higher compared to the other. Hope died of stroke 2.6 times in men and 4.8 times in women.

Based on that study, researchers concluded, by eating an extra portion of food rich in potassium (at least 400 mg daily) may decrease the risk of fatal stroke by 40%. The amount of potassium it needs at least equivalent to the consumption of about 65 grams of dried dates or five dates.


Not only that dates also can cure dengue fever, and good for constipation.

So eat dates every day!
